Therapy for 20’s and 30’s adults
What we believe about ourselves is powerful, for better or for worse. But how did we reach these conclusions about ourselves in the first place? Maybe we had experiences when we were younger that were formative, painful or both. Our bodies remember these lessons too and can remind us of our stories.
What has been getting in your way? I know the answer to that question is complex and I use a variety of tools to help you peel back the layers. As an EMDR therapist, I work with the beliefs that have formed through a lifetime of experiences and can help support healing, relief and closure from the past. I am also an experienced talk therapist with a trauma and culturally informed background and will weave in ACT (a mindfulness-informed evolution of CBT), expressive arts and other tools to support your mental health.
Your experience in life is also inextricably connected to the schools, workplaces, friend groups and families you are part of. Our cultural climate can influence how safe you feel in the world. I bring a decolonizing lens to the work that we do together and am prepared to talk about political and global concerns. I also work from an LGBTQ, gender identity and poly affirming position. As an experienced community organizer, I am here to help you find your people, because this will be essential for your success. I look forward to bringing my diverse experiences and expertise to my work with you to inspire transformation and growth. Self-liberation is within reach for all of us.
